I just came across your web page after a search for Turbo Kick cueing suggestions. Last Saturday I just finished my Tubo Kick training and yesterday I started revewing Round 39. I felt a little overwhelmed and more confused about the 32 count and cueing. I noticed on the DVD that Chalene doesn’t always cue on the 5th count and sometimes I couldn’t figure out the 32 count. Do you have any suggestions? How do you begin preparing for your first class? Thanks, Kris from Wisconsin
I got your message via my blog concerning queing. Congrats on making it through the training. Concerning queing, the most important thing is take your time. Don’t get frustrated with yourself if you don’t get it right away. Learning the cueing and choreography will take practice. I started by practicing several times a week. I would pop the DVD in and turn the volume down, to see if I could cue just about when Chalene would. One thing you have noticed about the DVD’s is that they’re like a live class. That means sometimes Chalene will miss a cue or make a mistake. This is a good thing in a way, becuase it shows us as instructors that even the best make mistakes. Just keep going. I also used my husband and friends as guinea pigs. We would just practice until I felt comfortable. I would also ask for honest feedback afterwards.
Another great resource is the TurboKickFanatics yahoo group. Just go on groups.yahoo.com and search turbokickfanatics. They have a great group of really knowledgeable and helpful people. I wish you the best.
MashAllah. I have the same purple dress!
really? did you get yours from Gap? I love mine. Purple is my favorite color.
